Well, for whatever reason, I've had a much smoother time than my frustrated hubby in migrating to Snow Leopard. (Of course, I've got a lot less stuff on my computer -- lol!)

However, apparently I got a little too smug about it, as suddenly my iCal is popping up repeating alarms that are often a year in length (that is, not only the "today" alarm, but for every preceding day that the alarm has been in existence). It completely paralyzes my computer until it is done generating the many alarms, sometimes to the tune of 20 minutes. No fun when I'm on a deadline!

I tried to do a search on this problem, but all I got out of that a lot of people have this problem! Oh, and one seemingly quite daunting "fix" (most of which I'm not sure I even follow): http://tinyurl.com/yal9hfg

Does anyone here have answers for this?
